PROVEN SUCCESS

Schedule a piano tuning today!

A piano can sometimes be in tune, yet still not be in the desired playable condition. Service work, such as piano tuning, repairs and regulation, are all necessary to ensure the optimum sound and most enjoyable piano playing. Regular piano service, which includes professional piano tuning, should be scheduled regularly for optimal enjoyment and for the protection of your instrument. We strive to bring your piano to a state that is inspiring for the music that you play, allowing players of all ages the ability to grow in their musical skills.

Repairs

Over time, piano parts wear out, felt and wood parts expand and contract, and the screws and springs can loosen. Whether it’s replacing the piano key tops or doing the necessary repairs to fix a note that won’t play, I can take care of all your piano repair needs. The cost for piano repairs is based on the type of parts and amount of labor required to perform the work.

Action

Adjustments aimed at increasing the efficiency of the mechanical part of your piano are called action regulation. Frequently, relatively inexpensive adjustments can make an enormous difference in the sensitivity of touch, allowing you to play much more expressively. I enjoy this task of bringing out the greatest beauty in the sound of an instrument.

Voicing

Adjustment of the tone of a piano is called voicing. It is accomplished by making careful changes to the shape and density of the hammers. A properly voiced instrument can sound remarkably more beautiful. Voicing is the most difficult skill for a tuner to learn, and it typically takes years to master.

Evaluations

I highly recommend an evaluation of every instrument prior to purchase. Pianos vary widely in quality and condition for the same price. Many need costly repairs or maintenance that are not obvious to the untrained eye or ear. I also offer free advice over the phone that can save you time and money when you are looking for a piano to purchase.

I’ll work with you to improve your piano’s performance.
